PrivatePS is a free fan project. The server costs money to run, and supporters help pay for it.
Donations only cover the server costs
Every dollar goes to the server and its running costs (hosting, domain, backups). Nobody is paid. When income is more than the costs, the price goes down for everyone the next month, and the owner says so in Discord and in the launcher news.
Supporter is a thank-you with cosmetic perks. It never gives better drops, more loot or any item that helps you play. Mystery boxes only hold untradeable cosmetic rewards that can also be earned in game.
What a bond gives
The only thing for sale is the bond, an item that arrives in your game inventory (or your bank). Click a bond in game to redeem it for one of these:
- 1 month of supporter (30 days): the blue star next to your name, the Supporter role in our Discord (link it on the account page), and the perks below. It never renews by itself, and you can stack one month in advance (days left + 30 must be at most 60).
- 5 mystery boxes: open them with
::mboxfor an untradeable cosmetic reward, such as a holiday partyhat or mask (1 in 20 boxes holds an ultra rare one).
Supporter perks: blue star and Discord role now; a coloured chat name and title, supporter mini pets and the supporter zone (quick boss access, a bank, a free restore pool and shorter respawns; drops stay the same for everyone) are coming soon. Please only buy bonds if you are happy with that.
Bonds are tradeable in game, so you can give or sell one to another player. Selling bonds, gold or accounts for real money outside the game is against the rules.

Bonds are bought for your own character and arrive in game within a minute if you are online, otherwise the next time you log in. Three bundles are for sale, with a lower price per bond in the bigger ones. The first time you buy each pack it is half price (each pack has its own first-time discount; after that the pack costs the full price).

Questions
How does the first-purchase discount work?
The first time your account buys each pack (1, 5 or 10 bonds) it costs 50% less. Every pack has its own first-time discount: buying the 5-pack first does not use up the 1-pack or the 10-pack discount. After your first purchase of a pack that pack costs the full price again. The price is decided by the server when you press the button, and a refunded discounted purchase does not give the discount back. Please use one account per person: the same PayPal payer taking the discount on several accounts is checked by hand.
How do I redeem a bond?
In game, click the bond in your inventory (or take it out of the bank first) and pick 1 month of supporter or 5 mystery boxes. Exactly one bond is used. If you already hold two months of supporter time the month option is refused and the bond is given back, so you can try later or pick the boxes.
Which character gets the supporter rank?
One character per account. Pick it in the Supporter section of your account page. The first time a bond is redeemed for a month and nothing is chosen yet, the character that redeemed it is chosen. You can change it once a month: the rank, the star and the Discord role move to the new character.
How long does supporter last, and what happens when it ends?
Each bond is 30 days. The account page shows how many days are left, and the game tells you a few days before the end. When the time is over the rank simply ends: nothing renews on its own and nothing is charged again.
What are mystery boxes and what is in them?
Five boxes per bond. The rewards are untradeable cosmetic and event items, never anything that helps in combat, xp or the economy, and they cannot be sold or traded. About 1 in 20 boxes holds an ultra rare item. The window shows everything that can drop and how likely it is.
Can I get a refund?
Bonds are delivered as soon as PayPal confirms the payment, and the money goes to the server costs, so payments are normally final. If something went wrong (a double payment, a mistake of ours) contact staff on Discord within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you.
A refund or chargeback cancels bonds that have not arrived yet, and a refunded discounted first purchase does not give the discount back. For bonds that already arrived, staff check the account by hand: bonds that were redeemed or traded can be taken back or the benefit removed, and an account with a chargeback is reviewed. Your receipts are on the account page.
Is this buying items or an advantage?
No. A bond is a donation perk: a thank-you with cosmetic extras and a convenience zone. It is not a purchase of gold or account progress, and nothing you get gives better drops. Selling gold, items or accounts for real money is against the rules.
Which payment methods and what does PayPal see?
You pay on paypal.com, with your PayPal balance or a card through PayPal. PrivatePS never sees your card or bank details: we only store the PayPal payment id, the amount and the date, so we can show your receipts.
Terms in short
- A bond is a voluntary donation to the server costs, in return for a thank-you perk. It is not a purchase of goods.
- The perks and the prices can change; bonds you already paid for are never taken away because of that.
- An account that is banned for breaking the rules does not get its bonds or supporter time back.
